My Daughter

By Humaira

My daughter Snabel is now seven years old mash Allah. She was four years old when we arranged a Qari to teach her reading Quran. He is very hard working, nice, polite, teacher. Now my daughter has learnt many chapters from 30th part of Holy Quran, Alhamdulillah. There is still a long way to go.

She was 6 years old when she told me, "Mama I am scared at night".

I asked, "Scared of what?" She said, "I have scary dreams and I am scared of darkness". I said: "Recite all the chapters of Holy Quran that you have learnt by heart before you go to sleep. You will not be scared anymore." Next day she woke up and said, "Mama slept peacefully at night." Reciting chapters from Quran became her routine and both of us forgot about scary dreams. Last week when I was busy getting my children prepared for school. She said. "Mama I had a bad dream." I was surprised. I said, "Ok don’t worry we will give charity from your pocket money, and you ask forgiveness and mercy of Allah SWT. Everything will be fine. Insha Allâh.”  She went to school. When she got back from school and we had time to talk I asked."Why did you have a bad dream?" She said, "Mama I know why." I said, "Then why are you wasting time, tell me." She said." I forgot to recite chapters of Holy Quran, I was tired and sleepy."

All of us have fears, fears of losing our loved ones, fear of mother in law, fear of getting fat, fear of bad dreams and many more. And my dear sisters in Islam I hate fears. So when I have fears I ask forgiveness and mercy of Allah(SWT). I ask for guidance ,strength and wisdom from Allah (SWT). I read Holy Quran. I keep on doing so until my heart is at peace. My dear sisters I am lost without Allah and Holy Quran.
