Seven Destructive Sins
Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet said, "Avoid the seven great destructive sins." They (the people!) asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What are they?" He said,
-
"To join partners in worship with Allah;
-
to practice sorcery;
-
to kill the life which Allah has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islamic law);
-
to eat up usury (riba),
-
to eat up the property of an orphan;
-
to give one's back to the enemy and freeing from the battle-field at the time of fighting and
-
to accuse chaste women who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good believers." (Bukhari, 6425)
ya allah save us all muslims from these sins ameen.
Ameen.
(Correct the word "freeing" > "Fleeing"
JazakAllahu Brother for having pointed out the point. But there are 2 hadiths, one is mentioned ‘freeing’ and the other ‘fleeing’. I have mentioned below the hadith which refers to ‘fleeing’
Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet said, "Avoid the seven great destructive sins." The people enquire, "O Allah’s Apostle! What are they? "He said, "To join others in worship along with Allah, to practice sorcery, to kill the life which Allah has forbidden except for a just cause, (according to Islamic law), to eat up Riba (usury), to eat up an orphan’s wealth, to give back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of fighting, and to accuse, chaste women, who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good believers.
