Satan’s Pride entitled him to Hell

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that when, the son of Adam recites the Ayat of Sajdah (prostration) and then falls down in prostration, the Satan goes into seclusion and weeps and says: Alas, and in the narration of Abu Kuraib the words are: Woe unto me, the son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated and Paradise was entitled to him and I was commanded to prostrate, but I refused and am doomed to Hell. (Muslim)

Lessons to learn from this Hadith:

  1. The best part of Prayer is the Sujood. It is the part in which we are the most closest to Allah.
  2. Satan refused to prostrate because of arrogance/pride.
  3. Satan will be in hell-fire.
  1. nisha fakrudeen says:

Today onwards i wll be more sincere than ever, in sujood.inshallah.

  2. yes even supplications done in sujood are very much accepted, insha allah.
