Participation in Jihad?
Abdullah b. ‘Anir reported that a person came to Allaah’s Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) and sought permission (to participate) in Jihad, whereupon he (the Prophet) said: Are your parents living? He said: Yes. Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: You should put in your best efforts (in their) service. (Muslim, 6184)

Allah Al Mighty guides us in chapter 31 verse 14 as follows,
” And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command) "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal. (14) ”

It is Fard Ayn for all the Muslims to defend Muslim lands that have been attacked. All the Scholars say this.
