Read Table of Contents

Read the Previous Part 5: Tafseer of Ayatul Kursi

Virtues of these three surahs

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:, “O! Ibn Aabis, shall I tell you about the best protection used by those who seek it. He said, Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He (SAW) said: “Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak.” and “Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of Mankind.” It is included in these two surahs. (Abu Dawud)

These 3 surahs are the best protections against evil eye.

‘Aa’ishah reported that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went to bed, he would cup his hands together, blow into them and recite into them Qul huwa Allaahu ahad [Soorat al-Ikhlaas], Qul a’oodhu bi Rabbi’l-falaq [Soorat al-Falaq] and Qul a’oodhu bi Rabbi’l-naas [Soorat al-Naas] (these are the last 3 soorahs of the Qur’aan – Translator). Then he would wipe as much of his body as he could with his hands, starting with his head and face, and the front of his body. He would do this three times. (Al Bukhari)
