Rights of a Muslim

Abu Huraira reported Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: Six are the rights of a Muslim over another Muslim. It was said to him: Allaah’s Messenger, what are these? Thereupon he said:

  1. When you meet him, offer him greetings;
  2. when he invites you to a feast accept it,
  3. when he seeks your council give him, and
  4. when he sneezes and says:” All praise is due to Allaah,” you say Yarhamuk Allaah (may Allaah show mercy to you); and
  5. when he falls ill visit him; and
  6. when he dies follow his bier. (Muslim)
  1. dan michi says:

    They are easy obligations. And if we will fulfill these responsibilities then we can hope for divine mercy in sha Allah.

  2. very true brother Dan, these are very responsibilities which we can fulfill. But many of those don’t pay heed to these.. May Allah make it easy for all of us. Ameen
