Fasting in Shawwal
Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (Allaah be pleased with him) reported Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: He who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal, it would be as if he fasted perpetually. (Muslim, 2641)

subhanAllah…a great opportunity to compensate all shortcomings that we have done during ramdan knowing and unknowing…Allah is giving us second chance to fill the gape Alhamdulilah….Allah is indeed Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.
Asalamualaikum,I wish to know whether the fasts of shawaal have to be kept from the 2nd of shawal itself and consecutively or can we give a break in between the fasts?
