Talking during the Khutbah.
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle (SallAllaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, “When the Imam is delivering the Khutba, and you ask your companion to keep quiet and listen, then no doubt you have done an evil act.” (Bukhari, 889)
While the Khutba is going on, we are not allowed to speak.
We are not even allowed to ask somebody else to keep quite. Because that is also like as if we have spoken.
Salam alaykum,
a blessed Ramadan for all Muslims around the world! When I first read this Hadith I didn’t understand>. Now I understand completly after I read your explanation, sister. Jazach Allah khayran.
yes here there is a bit of indication as well if im not wrong that everything has its own time, even correcting others have its own time….we need not to become haram police of that baba ali video…where we don’t bother about others relaed consequences and just all the time correct others without realizing what we are doing…jazakiAllah khair sis…correct me if im wrong 🙂
