Only if Allah wills…
Prophet Mohammad (saw) said: "Be aware that if the whole of mankind gathered together to do something to help you, they would only be able to do something for you which Allah had already written for you. Likewise, if the whole mankind gathered together to harm you, they would only be able to do something to harm you which Allah has already written to happen to you." (Tirmidhi)
yeh this might be applied at the time when you have put all your effort to gain good grades in your exam but even then you dont get high grades this hadith might give you the feeling of accepting what has happened and be satisfied for what is with you because Allah loves you more than you can perceive and He grants what is ultimately good for u. Alhamdulilah.

Allaahumma laa maard’a limaa ‘a’tayta, wa laa mu’tiya limaa mana’ta, wa laa yanfa’u thal-jaddi minkal-jadd.
O Allah, there is none who can withhold what You give, and none may give what You have withheld; and the might of the mighty person cannot benefit him against You.

SubhanAllah.. reminds us how we should never feel regret for anything that happens by blaming anyone…instead just "HasbiAllaahu wa ni3mal wakeel" – "Allah is sufficient for me and how fine a Trustee He is!" [Abu Daawud]
