Salman bin `Amir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying, “When one of you breaks his Saum (fasting), let him break it on dates; if he does not have any, break his fast with water for it is pure.” [Abu Dawud].
I have learnt from my parents that if somebody gives you something and you break your fast with it the one who has given the eatable also get the "ajar". At this point in time I also included it. Would like to know if this is appropriate!!
