70 Years Distance

Abu Sa’id al Khudri (Allaah be pleased with him) reported Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: Every servant of Allaah who observes fast for a day in the way of Allaah, Allaah would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years’ distance.  (Muslim, 2570)

  2. How Merciful Allah is.. But little do we realize it. Allah is opening doors of opportunities for us, but hardly we take make use of it.

    so if we fast 30 days, 30*70= approx 2100 years away from hell fire! Subhan Allah!

    I’m happy that Allah is always generous but at the same time there’s always that fear whether or not I’ve done my fasting in the way that Allah wants. In other words, knowing Allah’s generosity does not mean that I should stop being a perfectionist when it comes to pleasing Him 🙂

    I was dlighted to read this Hadith that shows the impotance of fasting and also to know and understand that how much Allaah loves his slaves by showering his mercy and making the path easy to get Jannah from many different ways! May Allaah SWT make us amongst Muttaqeen which is the purpose of fasting.
