Hasten to Break the Fast

Sahl b. Sa’d (Allaah be pleased with him) reported Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: The people will continue to prosper as long as they hasten the breaking of the fast. (Muslim, 2417)

    interesting hadith…i had never heard this hadith before although i knew that its preferred to break the fast as early as possible but didn’t hear that such people will prosper with Allah’s Grace….subhanAllah…jazakiAllah khair sis

    This is truly an important hadith for those who hear it for the first time as it’s very easy to fall into the misconception of the feeling that the more we delay breaking the fast, the more we are doing good!
