Hajj Shopping List

By Muhammad Al-Shareef

Must Have

• Two Large Suitcases
People tend to purchase a lot of gifts during the Hajj trip, so you can use these to bring all of
the gifts back.

• Vaseline (also known as Petroleum Jelly)
Buy a small travel-size version. It’s good for treating rashes and skin peel-off that may occur
during the trip.

• Small Sleeping Bag
Bring the smallest one you can find. You’ll need to travel light during Hajj.

• Ihraam Towels and slippers/sandals (at least two pairs each) [for men only]

• Pocket Qur’an

Don’t waste any time during Hajj. Read and memorize as much Qur’an as you can. Carry an
MP3 player filled with recitations to facilitate this further.

• Unscented Soap

• Power Bars
Malnutrition is one of the factors that leads to many diseases during Hajj, so it’s important to
be well-nourished at all times. Power bars are an excellent source of energy when food is not
easily available.

Nice to Have

• Baby Wipes
Baby wipes can be used to clean your hands and face instead of wasting precious water.

• Cork Ear Plugs and Eye-Shade
