Read the 1-6 Benefits of Dhikr: Part 1: Benefits of Dhikr

  1. The People of Dhikr among this Ummah are following the Sunnah of their Beloved Messenger (SAW)

Our Beloved Prophet (SAW) was indeed and beyond any shadow of doubt, the master of those who remember Allah with much remembrance.

He (SAW) was described as such by his wife Aisha (RA). She said, “The Messenger of Allah used to remember Allah at all times and in all circumstances.” (Bukhari/Muslim)

  2. Those who remember Allah are saved from being included in the party of Saitan

    Allah says:

“Satan has overcome them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah. Those are the party of Satan. Unquestionably, the party of Satan – they will be the losers. (Al Mujadila:19)

If you are not a member of the party of Satan, then what will be your membership?

“You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those – He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with spirit from Him. And We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him – those are the party of Allah. Unquestionably, the party of Allah – they are the successful.” (Al Mujadila: 22)

  3. Join the ranks of the elites and the cream of this Ummah.

The Messenger of Allah (SWT) was traveling in his way tp Makkah. He passed by a mountain named Jumdan, then said: Keep moving. This is Jumdan. Al Mufaridun have surprassed others. They said: “And who are al-Mufaridun, O Messenger of Allah. He replied: “They are those who remember Allah with much remembrance among men and women.” (Muslim)

We are moving in this life spiritually towards Allah. Being a Muslim, we will be remembering Allah.

  4. Earn the greatest honor and the noblest among the glories- Be remembered by Allah

The Messenger of Allah (SWT) said: “Allah, the Most Glorifies and Exalted, says: “I am as my slave expects me to be, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me inwardly, I will remember him inwardly, and if he remembers Me in an assembly, I will remember him in a better assembly (i.e., in the assembly of angels).’’ (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

  5. The circles of Dhikr are described to the Gardens of Paradise

Ibn Umar (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: “When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them.” The Companions asked: “What are the gardens of paradise, O messenger of Allah?” He replied: “The circles of Dhikr” (Tirmidhi)

    The different meanings of Dhikr

    • Knowledge
    • Qur’an
    • Remembrance of Allah
  6. Be granted ease in this life and preserve the power of your sight on the Day of Judgment.

Allah says: “And whoever turns away from My remembrance- indeed, he will have a depressed (difficult) life, and We will raise him on the Day of Resurrection blind.” (Taha: 124)

Allah tells us clearly, once we forget the remembrance of Allah in our life, we will have a difficult and hard life!
